I have been stuck to the television since the war started. I am currently working on a M1A2 and have noticed that many of the ones currently being used in the gulf have an extended rack on the back of the turret. If anyone can can give me some measurements or pictures of this I would be grateful.

I only saw one photo, it was on Yahoo! in their daily war photo section. It was a USMC M1A1 in overall tan. Although I don't have any dimensions, it was almost the exact same size as the regular bustle rack it was welded to. It appeared to be a simple box welded out of angle iron with a diamond shaped mesh welded across the open spaces. From the angle in the photo, I could not tell if there was a back to the box or if it was only three sides and a bottom. If you search Yahoo!, search for "Marines M1A1".

Those are just unit-level add-ons made from welded angle iron. I don'y think they have a consistant size.
