One of the most refreshing ventures this year was the start up of Jakrei Miniatures by Pete Morton. Pete has now sold on the complete range to Ian Hanratty of Friendship Models who will be distributing and selling them under the name Wee Friends.

Hi Guys,
This is both bad and good news. I've known for a while that Pete had sold on his range and for him personally this must have been a hard decision but I am very pleased that the range has remained very much within Britiain and that Ian has taken it on. What is even better is that it appears Pete will continue sculpting new figures as I know he was working on some interesting subjects and I hope these appear in the new 'Wee Friends' label soon.
It takes time for any new range of stuff to get established, and I can see the issue between white metal and resin. Fortunately I aquired through both Pete and Ian the first series of figures and I'm looking forward to building the final 5 I have.
If anyone is concerned about working with white metal, don't be. I had only built one metal figure before I got the Jakrei ones, just remember they are heavier!!! lol, lol.
I can only wish both Pete and Ian all the very best for the future and look forward to the next set of releases which I am pretty sure will be as interesting and creative as Pete's original figures.
Good luck guys.
