Well, kinda finished this today, more or less. Still got a little more weathering on the back. I did not pack this beast with many cargo as you can see. Now, since I did not construct the slat armor we can safely say, it is not an Iraqi OIF Version. So this can be any body's version. The launcher can be raised if wanted to. I will end up making the protective material under the launcher at a later date. I have seen pics without it any way so I am still right in terms of accuracy, I hope...
The base is not a permanent one as I did not have any of the plain bases left. When I do get it I'll put it on it with it's name plate. The pics are okay, kinda my weakness anyhow , hope you like the photos:

I like. Even if the base isn't permanent, its looks like a nice NTC display. Glad to see the 240B worked out fine. I really like that there isn't too much gear and that the launcher is stowed. Yet again, another wonder from the mind of Charles King!

Charles once again a beautiful job and excellent scratch building. I also like the heavy weathering. I still need to work on that (weathering) myself. The base looks great…looks familiar. Where did you get the tow-bar from, or did you make it.

Thanks for the Kind works Jeff and Joe. The tow bar was scratchbuilt. The base is familiar...it was taken from the Tractor guntruck dio. I am using plain bases now, so I kept three of these dios for temporary photos.

Thanks guys. I going to do a little more weathering on this beast. Especially on the tires to bring out the depth of it.

Nice job Charles. I like the weathering too. It looks like the 2nd wheel on the left side is not quite turned as much as the one in front of it - seems a little off. I like the scratched extended lights. Very nice.

Robert you're right about the wheel for some reason it go glued into that position even though i had fixed them to be even. Oh well. Klaus, unfortunately no blueprints were made. Everything was made by looking at pics and working out the measurement using my made up Deductive Scaling method. so it is not 100% accurate but it sure looks the part.

Very cool, Charles!
You're builds look great! I hope companies take notice that modern armor can attract just as much attention and fans as WW2 kits.

National Training Center, a large area where the US Army practices versus the Oppfor (opposing forces) modeling other world armies. Some real world equipment from other countries is there on display, but most of the oppfor equipment is vismod, visually modified US equipment.

Hehe, what Mike said. It started out training visiting US Army forces (generally a battalion or a brigade) in the ways of conventional operations against a Soviet-style Motorized Rifle Regiment. The visitors generally got their butts kicked because the OPFOR is so good at what they do. Every mission critique by the evaluators was brutal and held no punches - everything that went wrong was ruthlessly pointed out - much to the ire of many early visitors (I believe punches have been thrown on more than one occasion). As a result, every group left measurably better than when they came in.. Units used MILES against the OPFOR with one exception, a live-fire defense against pop-up targets that simulated movement down a valley.
NTC has since been revamped into an Iraq-style battlefield with multiple villiages spread out over a large area role-played by Soldiers and foreign-nationals who speak the language, many of them Iraqis. The standards of evaluation then are still the same though. Bob Burik got a chance to go to NTC as a civilian observer and I believe Gino was an evaluator there so you can probably ask them more.

Looks good.
Jeff pretty much got the just of the NTC in a nutshell. The NTC is located in the middle of nowhere in the Mojave desert. The closest town (Barstow, a spot on the map) is 45 miles away. It gives a good simulation of deploying to a far-off land to fight. It has evolved quite a bit since it began in '82.
The M1134 ATGM version is an actual Stryker vehicle. It is designed to take the place of dismounted and HMMWV TOW platforms to give the infantrymen an anti-armor capability. It may or may not be replaced by the Stryker MGS, which is the 105mm light-tank(ish) version.

Gino has already answered your question BTW, Gino, thanks. I have just finished weathering it some more; with some washes over the tires and vehicle. actually it looks much better now. I will replace the these pics with current ones. I will also try and take better pics this time. I am not happy with the present ones.

okay guys. I've redone the weathering and taken new and better pics. Just look in my first post. I've replace the earlier pics with the new ones. I think they look a little better than my first try.
