Might as well make my first post about an outstanding king tiger. I'm just getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus. I have the two new DML King Tigers with zimmeritt, and cannot wait to start while I'm on break.

Great job on the whole thing.
I like the figures look real relaxed and great paint job boy wish I could paint figures as all my tanks are lonely.
Cheers from Ok.

JackHammer,
Regardless of the few items people have pointed out...
stunning work, the paint job is beautiful and very eye catching, I personaly find the green to be something that more than likely did happen, if not offten with the crews out in the field due to paint shortages. Over all work is wonderful as well and your weathering is beautiful as well...
I look forward to seeing any other tiger you bring to the show room here at Armorama in the future.
Chris

First of all, the "dial up" guys are gonna hate you!
I really like the paint and finish; great figs too--all well painted, all around.
I don't like the battle damage though. From several angles it looks rather "hard edged", like a chip that somehow "fractured" off. It most definitely doesn't resemble any shell hit that I've ever seen, so I have to ask what you intended to model there? A shell hit would have had melted edges, and have been more scooped-out.

Very, very nice. Your painting and weathering are top notch. And your patience to put all of your skills together have paid off with a great piece of work. I just bought myself the DML KT w/Zim for a XMas gift, I'll still build it even after viewing your masterpiece.

Very nice build! I think I'll get that crew for my KT#222 Ardennes build, as they look like Kurt Sowa's crew in the KB photos.
I agree with your opinion about the green. Some stories that I've heard and read about the paints- sheesh! It's a miracle that the paint on any of those tanks stayed on at all! Paint being thinned by water, gas, who knows what- I would think that it would modify the tone a bit.
Don't quote me exactly, but I believe that #555 was a BN CDR's tank from 502nd or 503rd SS Heavy. I seem to remember seeing pics of it in "Tigers in Combat II". The reason for such a high # was to A) distinguish it from others in the unit and make it more recognizable, and B) still have a three number code on it so it didn't stick out too much from other KTs in the BN. If that were true, then yes, your build would replicate an Oder front KT quite nicely- except if it was a Command tank, it would need to be a Befehls, with all the assorted aerials and whatnot.
In the end, if the buyer was happy with it, and everyone here picked up some tips from it (as I'm sure we all did), then it's really "machts nichts"!
Again, great build, and I hope to see more from you!
