When are we likely to see the Dragon US halftracks such as the M3 / A1 / A2 and any other variants?
A 3 in 1 would be good for the M3. Maybe a troop carrier, command and an ambulance in one box.
What do you guys think?

Dragons next release is supposed to be an M3/M3A1 kit, followed by the M16.

That is the next US Halftrack release, not necessarily the next release.

Perth Military Modeling Site has the M3 3 in one kit listed as the next offering with the M16 after that. Cyber Hobby has an M3 with the 37mm mounted. No set release date that I could see.

The Marines didn't use the half-track with the 37mm mounted on it. They used the M3 G.M.C. w/the 75mm.

Actually, it's an M2 with the 37 mm gun--the gun mounts were salvaged from 3/4 ton Dodge trucks configured as "tank destroyers."

The M2 with the 37mm AT gun were specific conversions done by the 2AD for the Normandy campaign. There is no extant evidence of this vehicle in other units/theatres. They were indeed salvaged from M6 37mm GMCs which were converted back to Weapon Carriers. S Zaloga did a buildup from the Trakz gun and the M2/M2A1 in Milmod.

Ah the quads, one of my favorite vehicles in Company of Heroes. You get when to level three experience and it mows down everybody

Provided no armor is present, of course.

I agree, i waited 30 years for the M2 / M2A1. They've (Dragon & Trumpeter) made the announcement way back when, and nothing. While i'm thinking about it, an M13 (twin .50 cal AAA) would be nice.

If one came out tomorrow Guys........
When would you actually build it?
My guess is most want it because they can't have it and once they have it, it'll not get built.

Lol Alan!!! You´ve hit the nail on the head there.
For the last few years, so many wanted a modern halftrack but how many have been modelled since the M2 has been released.
