Thanks Jesper here's the final update of the construction of the model,

the workable part of the the gun assembly is a simple 3 piece affair and works well, the rest of the mantlet fits well also the only issue with the whole thing is perhaps the two piece barrel is difficult to clean the seam up also the two grooves in the barrel do not meet each other correctly i ended up sanding them out but an after market barrel would be the way to go here.

and all assembled and fitted

lastly to finish up the build is the tow cables which i skipped earlier, i have never been impressed with plastic molded cables and seeing as trumpeter provide 4 decent looking cable ends as extra,s i decided to use them and some clamps from the spares box and two lengths of wire to make my own

the plastic ones

the extra cable ends with clamps from the spares box

and wire added

i just need to rig a couple of brackets for the cables and it is done.

the painting and weathering will follow.

Ron.

Ron,
I did a what if,.and added the heavy shackles below the jack block. I would figure those would always be included on the BII of a Geerman tank.
Nice build

Hey Ron--it took me a while to get over here, but I gotta say that this is really looking deee-licious!
I might pick one of these up after Christmas bills are paid.
Your build looks like its going great--I really like the low-position build; it looks sleek and dangerous! Boy, I'll bet painting it is gonna be fun--lots of possibilities!
habe fun, and a Merry Christmas if I don't get back at ya before then!

Its gonna be another good one Ron Bronco started the trend with updated clamps that look like clamps and I see the newer DML smart kits and now Trumpy are following suit. They actually look halfway decent.

Thanks Carl, good thinking with the shackles i may throw them on also, i played with the wrenches a while before deciding not to use them heh

Hey Doog, thanks for checking it out, it really has been one easy kit to build and other than a bit of cleanup and a few sink marks and knockout marks its been perfect, the jury's still out on a paint scheme yet i will start with my usual red oxide primer and hope by the time its dry i have made up my mind lol and all the best to you and Jenn Karl i hope you have a safe and happy holidays .

Hi Kevin, i totally agree about the tool clasps admittedly thet are not PE class but a definate step in the right direction

a couple more pics to show the finished cable clamps i also threw some casting numbers on the mantlets for the fun of it and she is seriously ready for some paint.

Hi Ron. Another cool build. I can live with a bit of extra clean-up, when the build looks to be as straight forward as this. Cant wait to see your camo and weathering on this.

Thanks David, yes the casting numbers came off a sprue i had in the spares box i cant remember from which kit though lol

Hi Frank this has been my little painting project to get me through the holiday madness its a great little kit to paint and i finally decided to go with a made-up camo job beaten up in my usual style of weathering consisting mainly of lots of washes, i will do a full write up in a few days.

here are pics of the finished build.

Happy holidays all

Ron.

Ron,

A very convincing and suburb job!!! Been following your build from the start and I must say you sure build some very impressive stuff. Excellent photos. Really like the way you weather your builds, looking forward to the full paint and weathering write up.

Keep up the excellent builds it sure helps all of us out here who try to build and paint our stuff to look as real as you do.

Looks very neat, the colors remind me of a color pic of a JagdPanther.

One thing though, the convoy-light, on the left upper side on the rear, that should be blue.

If you can, cut out the part and replace it with clear rod and paint that in clear blue.

Other than that, marvelous!!!
