Hi Rick. Cool figure.
Check his neck /neck-positioning before starting to paint. It appears to be a little too long or not placed deep enough ... at least that is how it appears in the photographs shown. A side view would give a better idea.

Nice looking fig for your first attempt at a large scale resin kit. I too have thought about building this guy. A few comments though. First, I agree with Frank. Something looks off about the head/neck. Can't put my finger on it though without having the pieces in my hand to test fit. Second, the feet look kind of awkward pointing straight out. When standing up, look down at your feet and they'll angle outward slightly (maybe it's just me). You kinda have to work to point them straight out. That may be just how the parts fit though. Lastly, do the PE medals and decorations go on top of the molded on details or do they need removed or sanded down to use the PE ones? Maybe an either/or type thing. You're off to a great start! Looking forward to seeing some paint on him.

Hoi Rick,
Nice work thus far. Still some clean up to do though.
I think what Frank and Scott are referring to is that it appears that you have turned the head to face to the front, whereas the boxart shows it turned looking slightly to the figure's left - and the neck has been sculpted to cater as such.
Don't forget to attach the award (KK 1st class?) ribbon to the lapel of the jacket.
Looking forward to see how you paint him. Will you be painting him in a few different schemes? Or sticking to the autumn pea dot (?) shown on the box art? Personally I like it when the different camo schemes are mixed. Adds interest to the piece.
Have a look under the FEATURES>>PAINTING section on Historicus Forma for some great camo SBSs.
