Those are NOT Modern K-Rations...K-Rats went out of use in the Korean War and those were WWII leftovers...(My Father was issued a K-Rat Dinner in Korea during November, 1950 that said Merry Christmas 1944 on it.)
These are early pattern WWII K-Rat boxes, which were color coded and camoflaged...late war they went to just plain printed cardboard instead of the colored version...but the stocks of colored ones continued to be distributed.
VERY COOL...I'm going to try printing some and reducing them to 1:35...they would be great to use on any Pre-43-45 DIO.
