Hello friends, still one figure to go, but it's almost finished now, I hope you like it already. Ksst, hau ab ! means : Booo, go away !

The jagdpanzer stopped in a muddy field with cows. Two tankriding panzergrenadiere want to chase away the animals. One of them jumped off the tank and landed in the mud. He's waving a flag like a bull fighter, trying not to fall in the puddles. Another figure is watching his friend in the field. He'll stand on the tank and still has dry feet, smoking a cigarette and being quite amused. Hope you enjoy it ?

Very nice job Guy, interesting and amusing story!

I have one small observation.
I find the ground (mud) colour a bit uniform, and adding to that it's nearly identic to the cow's brown.
So , some colour variation would be , IMO, useful. (you could have made black spotted cows for example).

Could it be that you are playing a camouflage game here, with the cows identic than the Jagdpanzer? Hmm

Cheers
Claude

JBA : you know I like animals a lot, and when I saw these Preiser cows, I couldn't just resist them. I still want to improve the mud's look. Thanks for your nice words !
William : thank you too, I wanted to make something funny and indeed, may be sometimes even the Germans were funny, hehehe.
Claude : thank you too, your reply is apreciated much. I think I'm going to give the mud a couple more washes. And about the camo of the tank and the cows, that is correct, I tried to make an relation between them. Glad you've seen it.

Very nicely done! I can only hope one day to make good mud as good. I also like the idea of the pattern on the vehicle and the cows, very creative. The only negative I see is that the swastika is backwards. Perhaps in your country you can not display it any other way.

Best wishes,

Larry

Lawrence You've seen that well sir ! You're right.
The swastika is showed as if you'd see it in a mirror. So in fact, the back of the flag is up here (up side down). But this was not ment to be, I just don't want to change it anymore, afraid to damage the whole thing. Good observation Lawrence, thank you for your reply.

Great job. The camouflage on the jagdpanzer is very well done and the mud is very realistic. I like the scene, but it seems a like misplaced to use the swastika flag, but maybe that is just me. If I were a soldier, I would probably use a blanket or tent quarter or something like that.

Anyway, good work - looking forward to see more, when the other figure is added.

Hi Jesper, thank you for your opinion, I respect that. About the swastika flag : I choose to use it because of the colors black white and especially red. It needed a little more color I think. Tonight I will place new pics, the mud is much better now by using washes and drybrushing, more color variation. The grasses are more natural now. Untill the next update friends.

Hi there

"Like a red rag to a bull" I think the use of the swastika is very appropriate here, cause like in war all nations love to use their flags to goad there oponants into a fight for whatever reason.

In the next version it would be nice to see the bull come in and put that nasty Gerry on the the end of his horns with the flag trampled over! Tee hee!

The flag works for me!

A great well thought out dio Guy,

I love the idea and the interaction between the cow and the grenadier, the groundwork is also very well done.

Great work, post it when its finished,

Mud? I think the German may hope that that is mud... working around cows (in a way) I can tell you that there is a lot of what looks like mud around cows....

But seriously, that is outstanding work Guy. Love the cows.

Cheers

Nige, I'm glad you like the flag too.
James, thank you for the encouraging reply.
Thank you Scott.
Chas, thank you too, they are flowers made with oil paint dots.
Henk, I tried to make a mixture of water and .... in the puddles.

Today I jumped in the mud again and added more colorful washes for intensive depth.
Also drybrushing for more effect.
The grasses were made dirty in the muddy area, and later they were drybrushed with a little green. Little flowers added in the field too, using white oil paint dots.
The reddish grasses were covered with more green tones, this is a great improvement. Why do the manufacturers add these silly red fibres by the way !?
A thin layer of Tamya clear was brushed on the puddles for more depth and a shiny effect.

New pics : I hope I didn't ruin it ? I like it more now !

My second figure I'm currently working on :

I hope you still like it ?

The composition is spot on! Great mood. I like the grassy field behind, and the puddles look a lot better. The photographs have improved heaps too. Well done!
