I'm hoping someone (Dr. Menasherob?) can answer this: On the first M51 conversions, with the standard R-975 radial engine, was the rear of the cast hull extended downward with that plate that holds the track spanner and supports the two large towing lugs? Or was this feature added when the Cummins conversion happened? I'm backdating one of the old, non-premium DML kits into a radial M51 using Accurate Armour's rear plate to be rid of the Batch 4 angle that comes in the kit. Need to know if I also need to saw off the lower extension. Thanks!

dear Greg,
No, no extension in the early types, regular M4A1 cast hull.
Thanks
Robert

Thanks, Robert! Time to let the razor saw nibble on some more resin!
