Here's my latest work, a Lord of the Rings inspired 54mm vignette using Andrea's “Untamed” figure, Enigma Miniature's Yarry, a tree trunk from Bayardi bases from LaMeridiana and M Models and a Games Workshop type figure posing as Gollum.

The groundwork is Celluclay over styrofoam. The stream is a base of Liquitex with Woodland Scenics Water Effects some of which has cotton strands imbedded in it. Most of the vegetation is Sphagnum moss. Paints are primarily Andrea and Vallejo.

"Big hairy feet"... That's the first thing I saw!
Looks good Al; the Strider figure is a bewdy. Is there some sort of statue behind the hobbit across the stream, or are my peepers playing tricks on me?

Al, beautiful work !!! The water turned out real good !!!
All aspects nicely done.
Not a bad thing, just an observation, when I first saw the Hobbit with the sideburns I instantly thought of Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry.
I also like the paint job and the colors, and I have to agree with Brad, Strider is cool !!!

Thanks, guys.
I saw the Dirty Harry connection, too. when I first saw this figure. This site
did a group build of sorts when Yarry came out. Among the conversions were Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, and the guy (Angus?) who wears the school boy outfit in AC/DC, but no Harry Callahan.

Turned out great Al.
Got a kick out of seeing all the various conversions of Yarry-Harry or Barry.

Al, well done! It definitely makes me think LOTR and D&D.

Gorgoroth: Now that is a definite "what-if!" Do it, man, I'd love to see what you come up with!

Whoa... halloween campaign idea... Fantasy meets WWII! Zombies for infantry, vampires commanding tanks... Hmm... why limit it to WWII? Frankenstein on an M1 would be cool, too!
And this is without liquid creativity!
