I've been reading this forum for quite sometime, albeit without posting myself, and I figure, If anyone can help me with this problem, the guru's here can.

I purchased the dragon kit for the m1a2 SEP and when I got it home and opened it, I noticed that the lower hull for the kit was badly warped and even cracked in one spot.

I'm trying to post pictures as well, however, Is this something that can easily be fixed? How would I go about fixing the warped section? Can I heat it up (A little) and attempt to mold it flat again using a couple of metal rulers and some plastic clamps? Or is this beyond hope?

I appreciate all of your guys' wisdom. Thanks for your help in advance.

WOW, That is some ugly warp. You might try to get a replacement from Dragon on that one. I can only imagine that trying to bend it back into shape is going to cause a whole bunch of other fit problems down the road.

How would I get in contact with Dragon to ask for a replacement? I've never had a problem like this where I've had to go to the manufacturer to essentially complain about their product.

Thanks again,

Mike

Ouch. That's pretty severe, and while it might be fixable, you're probably better off getting a replacement part. If you bought it from your LHS, try talking to them first.

Was that the only warped part in the kit?

definitely email Dragon USA, I had a real problem with the Cyber-Hobby Ferdinand. I emailed them and a gentleman named Ryan Roberts quickly responded. I am sending them the kit back with a full refund and "extra product" to cover the shipping cost. Every time I have emailed them about a problem they have responded very quickly. I once lost the instructions to a kit and within 24hrs they had emailded me a pdf set of instructions

I just talked to my LHS and they said that they would exchange the kit for me. I guess thats the easier route for now. I appreciate all of your help. I hope that the kit they have in stock doesn't have this same issue. Thanks again.
