I'm in a early building step with my Dragon M1A2 SEP Abrams and I just noticed this square hollow on the back edge of piece T10.
What is it ? I have no idea. Does it exist on M1A2 only ? And which is its function ?
And on the construction drawings it doesn't exist !!!
Please look below.
Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Hello Guido,
my kit has this too. But when you have a close look on the other side of the weld seam, you notice that this "thing" is also there, but filled up by a mould plug.
I had a look into my M1A1 AIM kit and on this kit both are filled.
Somehow, this plug got lost and now we have a nice "hole" in this part to fill up.
I think, this is a case for Dragon Care.

Thomas, thank you, you're right. I just saw the "plug" on the other side: there is a light trace of it.
So I'll fill and sand it
We know how Dragon kits are full of several options and items that could be sold as aftermarkets, but I think Dragon boys should improve their planning kits' ability: it's not the first time I find "strangenesses", or I've heard about.

Maybe Pawel can tell us what these "holes" are good for.
He was the technical assistant for the two kits.

Ok Thomas, thank you. I already sent a private mail to Pawel. Let's hope in an exhaustive answer. I'll inform you about it if you wish.
Cheers.

Please post the answer here. Maybe Pawel reads the thread, anyway.

Ok, this is the kind answer of Pawel:

Hi Guido,
Unfortunately this is a molding error - it shouldn't be there... So I'm afraid you need to fill it and sand the area smooth.
Cheers,
Pawel

Ok, did someone look at my putty ?
