Hey all,

I know there those of you out there that have this wonderful ability to create "Campaign Ribbons." You've got the talent, you've got the ability, you've got the creativity, you've got the "programs" to do this. I'm asking, on behalf of the Campaign Admins, and the Campaign Leads, to help us out. This request would (I'm reaching here, but confident) encompass the KitMaker spectrum, I'm sure. We all need some help here. Campaigns are an inherrent part of KitMaker...and for the participants, what's better than having in nice, unique ribbon to show for one's efforts and completion of a Campaign? Yep, there's the joy of the build, the comments, the accomplishment....the recognition (via ribbon) of said accomplishment.

So, here's an open call for those that have the desire and the "juice" to help us out.

I know my way around Fireworks....but I'm a dunder when it comes to creativity...help us out.

Open call my friends....holler at me or Mark....let us know if you are willing to help out here.

Deepest regards,

Mike

Well, I have made 4 ribbons by now, so I guess I can help out. Also I have made 25+ banners for various campaigns both here and at Aeroscale, so there I can also help out. I am no tech wizard, but if some campaign leaders have pictures, text etc. to incorporate into a banner or ribbon I can help combine it into the right format.

The latest banners I have made can be seen in the "Siegfried Line" and "WWII experimentals" treads in the campaign forum. I actually also made the campaign master MarkM's banner.

Banners are a good way to spread the word about the different campaigns running and also serves as a sign that one is actively participating in a campaign.

Campaign leaders let me know if you need something and what your preferences are then something can be cooked up

Jesper,

I (and I'm sure the Campaign Leads) would like to thank you for your offer of assistance. I'm seeing an awful lot ( ) of your banners in siggy blocks. I really like that idea!

Thank you again,

Mike

Well, I'm sure that we have more talented people than I am here in Armorama, but I'm quite familiar with some graphic tools, so if you describe me what you want I could make some proposals for you to chose. If you will not find them interesting you can always ask somebody else - a lot of people have experience in this matter.
If you need anything PM me. I'll do my best to help.
(BTW - my profile picture are actualy three pictures - you may treat it as a simple (very simple) sample of my graphic activity).

Jim,

It appears, and I could be wrong, that there's enough space that two banners, combined into one, would fit (granted, they'll be smaller but still readable? ). However, getting yourself involved in more than that may cause a bit of a dilema .

Andrzej,

My hope and intent of this posting is to get those with the desire to help linked up with those that are leading the campaigns, and don't know how to do the ribbons. I've looked in the Campaigns and there are several that do not list a "completion" ribbon yet (both current and upcoming campaigns). I'm sure once this is viewed a bit more, there will be those out there that will contact those of you that have offered up their assistance.

Thanks guys!

I've made multiple banners for members and campaigns and ribbons for campaigns. If you need any help in any of them, let me know which ones and I'll draft something up.

I can make some ribbons up. But the ribbons usually need to be patterned after a theme. I did the Ribbon for the Heart of Gold Campaign based on a golden heart. Let me know if you just want some generic ones or some that are more specific.

Here is sort of a portfolio of things I've done for Armorama. A couple years ago, Jim was in the midst of one of his site changes and wanted to use banners to highlight a forum grouping and their subgroups - modern figures, British aircraft, etc. I made several and here are a few. In the end, Jim really did not end up using them, but a couple were given to modellers who liked that their models where used in banner (Jim Lewis - Guntruck - is one that I can think of off the top of my head); For credits sake, I can't remember who's all models are in some of these, though I know Pete Becerra's - EPI - figures and Joe - Mother - CH-46E are in here. The rest are file images. A bit of the credit here goes to my roommate, close friend, and graphic designer Adam Fink who gave me pointers on Photoshop and designs.

Most of my campaign ribbons are simple and done in Microsoft paint, but like Carl said, everything I do has a meaning behind it, ribbon or banner. I've done all but one of the Move It ribbons (the first one, Cliff did, the rest are modifications), the first Medic campagn, AGE 2, and Mud, Sweat, & Gears, and I think one or two others.

It would be nice if we could have two banners, and if they were a little bit larger.
