Hi All,
I am building a model of the Abrams during OIF and now I am putting the stowage on the tank. When I look at pics of real tanks, I see ammo canisters which are put on the outside of the bustle rack but I do not know how they are attached, It seems af they are glued, for example this picture:

The same goes for the CIP, are they bolted with clamps or something like that?
My last question is: I see tons of stuff stacked on the turret and it seems to me it reduces the vision of the tank crew. I am not in the military, but is that not a problem in a combat situation?
Cheers,
Matthijs

Ammo canisters etc are attached with bolts and plates. CIP panels are strapped to the turret. "WWP Abrams in detail" got very nice pictures of it. About stowage and crew vision: It should not be a real problem as long as the stowage is attached in a sensible way and the crew observe in their designated sector.
