I take it you mean the MIG Productions set?
Here is a review and detailed images.....via a quick Google search.....

What are you refering to as "OIF time"?.....the set includes the machine gun for the Iraqi Army version which is basically present day equipment.

Here is my review for Armorama of the kit too. As far as the kit goes, yes it is worth it. As for the MG turret, I'm not entirely convinced. It is accurate for sure - and the first in PE - but I personally like the thickness of styrene, plus there are a bunch of little details that are missing and probably could have been done better if it was done in resin. Asthetically, it plays its part and few would notice the difference, it really just depends on how far you want to go. I have not been able to find the time to build it yet, though its at the top of my list, so I can't tell you from experience how easy it is to build.
As for timeline, these shields started showing up en masse in 2005. You can still see them today, but are being phased out in favor of shields that incorporate ballistic glass for added situational awareness (Bill - Boggie - on a different forum page is working on one of these new turrets). Pete - EPI - also scratchbuilt one of the turrets you are looking for,but I can not find the page.

Here is the MIG photo etch turret shield:
And here is my turret shield I built using the actual parts manual for the M1114:
Like Jeff, the thickness provided by styrene compared to photo etch is more believable. If you want the pages from the manual for the turret, go to my PhotoBucket album and look under pages from manual album.
