Here, some new pictures on the dio. It has taken time but I have had problems with the founding moulds and also with the founding, a tried a new way, but it does not function so good.
Will do new founding moulds, this time with latex.
The characters on the pictures are not completed painted and a part of them will be changed out when I get delivery from hobbyeasy in Hong Kong, unfortunately so seems the packet have come away in the mail.

Wow really ambitious project.
By founding I think you mean casting.
Did you make the original archways.
I think modellers have to be careful with large dio bases even with lots of figures . there should always be a focal point. I mean something that affects all the figures or that all the figures are involved with.
I look forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks guys
I have produced the originals, cut them in wood.
Casting them with plaster then have I used liquid clay that pours in the mould and lets to stand in 30 minutes. The water in the clay is sucked up of the plaster and left 3 -4 mm thick walls. Let it dry in 24 hours and it is hard. Unfortunately so, it is not really stable when it drys, and it is difficult with small details.
Will do new cast moulds now in latex and to cast them with synthetic plaster that gives good details.
Yes Pat I mean cast, apologize but I am not so good in English and fine that you point it out. Agree with you about big dio, but I knew that I must do it big in order to do it right.
Cheyenne your church is outstanding

Gday Per
This is an ambitious project mate, and the backdrop really encapsulates the action. I agree with Pat and also you on how the scene needs to be played out. I'm sure you'll find a happy medium.
What I would like to see though is an abnormally large pile of debris near a corner of the courtyard, just to break up the consistency of the rest~ This could aid in balancing the scene...?
Good stuff

Looks great!
I just finished Rick Atkinson's The Day of Battle audio book (I drive truck for a living) and if you REALLY want to get a feel for the agony and frustration that took place in this battle, read (or listen to) this book.
It will get you in a "diorama state of mind".
