Well thanks to this site (and the encouragement of my wife) I have finished my first 1/35th and first non-figure kit in about three years.
I had a blast with this kit and the Warrior figures, but I'm glad it's over and I'm happy to be working on an M-113 Zelda at the moment.
I've been working on this thing on-and-off since June of '02 and really put a push on it since the beginning of March.
Can't say enough about the kit, a few flaws (i.e. the gap where the hood meets the dah frame) but it really was fun to build.
Annnnd it looks I'm back to armor kits now....

Enjoy,

Nate

An outstanding job I must say. I love the open tool compartment on the right side. One of the best outfitted Famo's Ive seen in a long time.

Thanks Leo, I was glad when all junk was painted and done.
I think Recon did one a few months back and did all the cargo as he went. I think that's the way to go but I didn't heed his advice. I probably makes the whole "stocking" process more palatable....

Pork,

Excellent result from 10 months of work, don't feel weird because you take 10 months to do a FAMO. This beast does require that much time!!!!! #:-)

I like the cargo layout, the figures, and overall the vehicle is excellent. Very good work, congratulations!!!!

Lookin good there, Nate, you have done quite well on it. I think the figures are exceptional and their poses are genuine. Keep it up.

Rob

PS I hear a mutual friend of ours was up that way and got to meet you. Hollowpoint says your a pretty nice guy and a great modeler.

Great job Nate. I aboslutely love the cargo area with all the "junk" in it. I also like the weathering as it is just the right amount. Way to go!

You did a fine job, lots and lots of details. I like it. 10 months of work shows. I know the reliief feeling when such a large project is finally done.

Hats off. I like the warrior figures!

Hey Nate,
Fabulous job! And like the others said, that junk in the back of the beast is worth every penny. A 10+ for your work. 10 months of working is never too much to achieve this.

Excellent detail, and I really like your painting work. It is very difficult to have subtle but effective details, and you have really nailed it. Great cargo as well...

Nate,
The job you did is just beautiful! The time you spent on it really paid off! I have one that is still in the box, and seeing yours makes me want to start right now.....sigh...if I only had the time. Congratulations again, sir.

Yes! Very nice balance overall.I especially like the job you've done on the weathering and chipppng.I find it very hard to know when to stop. You've achieved a very subtle effect.I've been stalled on my Famo for awhile but maybe it's time to get back to it.JOCK

Thanks, as you probably know this kit is sorta a bear, a ton of parts!!! BUt like you I worked on it on-and-off which made it bearable. But once I really got going on it, I didn't want to stop. It was a pretty fun build.

Thanks,

Nate

Nate:

Fantastic Job! I'm very impressed with the results you've achieved. Your talents sure cover a broad spectrum from figures to armor. Even your stowage looks great. It doesn't have that "arranged" look that is often common with less experienced modelers. Keep up the great work!

Hey guys, is it presumptuous of me to claim secondary bragging rights seeing as Nate is a fellow Wisconsinite? Probably streching it a bit....

John
