What is a typical interior color on a WW2 British tank used in NOrth Afrika?

Stuff built up until about 1942 was silver inside. Later built stuff (most of which wouldn't actually have gotten to North Africa in time) would be white. ALL American leand lease kit was white inside.
Got a specific vehicle, time & place in mind? I could get more accurate.

To add to the previous reply, it was a flat aluminum paint that was used for the interior color of British vehicles. I have read that this color was used throughout most of the war, It's hard to tell flat aluminum paint from white in B&W photo's. All US Lend Lease equipment was white as per US practices.

Thanks so much for the responses. I never would have guessed in a million years that color. I would have gone with an off white or a buff on my own.

As stated most for North Africa would be the Silver (Aluminium) as it was replaced for white due to the Aircraft Industry taking Presidence for Pigments. It returned later in the war (Late 44 IIRC). Kind of the same thing that happened with the Green Pigments.
