While perusing the Lifecolor paints at TankRat's eBay store, I discovered that Lifecolor makes an exact match for CARC Green 383 (FS 34094). It's UA 303, part of their NATO MERDC paint set here in the US, but here is a link to an individual bottle.
I also noticed that Vallejo makes Model air and Model Color paints that are also a match for FS34094:
VA018, Camouflage black green (RAL 6012 - FS 34094) and
VC975, Military green (FS 34094)
With so many Strykers being built, I thought I'd share this info (not really news, frankly, but at least new to me... )

Thanks for posting...but to play Devil's Advocat...how do you know it is an exact match?
I am curious if anyone is available and has access to a 1:1 Stryker to actually spray a test patch of these paints on some stryene and then hold them up beside a real Stryker, take some photos, and let us see just how much of an "exact match" they really are.....just a suggestion.

I have some 1" x 3" pieces of aluminum with CARC on them. I could send you one if you like.

You got me there, Jason--I'm only going by the FS designations of the Lifecolor and Vallejo paints. If these paints are a match to the FS standard they claim to represent, then they should be a match to a brand new CARC Green 383-painted Stryker.

That means nothing. If they matched it to the real paint, it might be good for touch up on 1/1 but won't be right for 1/35. It's called scale effect. A model reflects a lot less light than the real thing, so if matched to 1/1 it won't look right in 1/35. Also, a lot of paint companies claim a certain paint is matced to FS such and such, but looks nothing like it.
Yes, in addition to having to account for the scale effect, weathering will also have a significant impact on the color of the 1/1 vehicle (and would therefore also change the color of the 1/35 scale representation). Many folks on this site know and understand the impact of scale and weathering, as well as the subjective nature of coloration in modeling. Thus my qualifiers that the match is for CARC Green 383--a good starting point for modelers trying to replicate the color of the real thing in miniature, but not the whole story, as we all know. That's why I never said any of these paints was perfect for painting a Stryker model straight out of the bottle.
