Got a few good kits from the girlfriend this Christmas and decided to go all out on them
I got the Academy Merkava MkIII, and I have already ordered the Fruilmodel tracks, and a newer style resin turret from Legend
For the new Dragon Porsche King Tiger, I am also ordering the Fruil tracks
What I do need is some stuff for the Tamiya Challenger II (desertized) and I hate rubber band tracks, and was wondering if any aftermarket companies offer better tracks for this vehicle, please let me know

I believe Fruil does tracks for the Challenger also.

I don't know how big your budget is or how much detail you like on your models, but I would like to say that the Challenger with side armour hardly shows anything of the track. I normally always replace the rubber track with aftermarket stuff, but this is the only model I did not.

For the Challenger 2 I can suggest these from Accurate Armour in Scotland:

If you're going to build an up to date chally 2 you gota stick with with kit tracks, no one makes AM chally tracks with the later 2 block rubber pads. Kit tracks arent that bad and as Mat pointed out you arent going to see much of them either.
You can add some resin hop ups if you want, but really the only thing that kit needs is a little bit of photo etch. As long as you dont want to build so up to date, bar armor fitted chally there aint much wrong with the kit.

Not entirely true, Rob. Armour Track made a set at one time, but they might be hard to find (Evil-Bay?). I think the Friul ones are for the Chally 1.

The Tamiya Cr 2 kit tracks are just fine. As the other posters have said, there is very little that you can see of them anyways.
The Tamiya PE grilles are a nice touch, or you could go with the Extratech etch set. But really, it is a superb kit OTB.

Yup, the Armour Track Models Challenger 2 tracks are correct...and hard to find.....I managed to snag a set from Dan Hay a while back.....gonna use them for my BATUS Challenger 2.
The rubber tracks in the Tamiya kit are really nice....very high quality moulding....these aren't cheap tracks from a 1960s vintage Tamiya kit......and as was already stated.....hardly any of the tracks are seen with the skirts and dust extensions.
The Friulmodel tracks are for the Challenger 1.
