I'm looking to build the AB Figures white metal kit of this subject for the Medic! campaign, but the instructions are, er, minimal to say the least, and none of my references have any pictures of the ambulance carrier.

Can anyone help me out here? Thx.

Hi Neil

Any pics or links to pics of the bits?

AFAIK ambulance carriers were either ordinary carriers with the rear plate removed allowing a stretcher to be fitted either side of the engine, or carriers with stretcher balanced either side of the rear compartment. AB Figures site says theirs is an improvised one, whatever that means.

David, thanks for the reply - here's a picture of the parts. The "instructions" indicate that the stretchers should be laid front to back on top of the carrier - probably the "improvised" that you refer to.

A-ha - AB manage to provide parts for both the Mark I and Mark II carriers to add to the confusion. Do you still need a hand sorting out what goes where?

Pic above is a Mark II in Normandy - apparently with a German PoW too.

Thanks for that pic David, interesting.....looks like no "medic" markings other than what looks like a rolled up flag on the LHS. Front right fender looks a bit battered too!

I know where the "big" parts go, but the UC is such an awkward bloomin' shape

I've started a blog in the campaigns forum - I'll post pics in there as I go along and would greatly value your input.

Thx
