Came out of the 2008 Calendar from Unigraphics (the 3-d CAD software I use at work)

Do you know if they use CAD software to generate the positives and negative films for Photo Etch? Is there a user friendly "mini" CAD program that you know of that works on Mac OSX Intel?
Thanks
Bill

Bill,
I'm willing to bet they do..... as it's easier to draw larger & scale it down.........
Check Here there's a bunch around 20-30 bucks.... and more for under 100

I'd really like to scratch up a Red Dot AC unit and Frenchy has found some schematic images from Red Dots web site. I'd like to try to get a local commercial print shop to turn these drawings into positive film and then expose that onto photo resist coated brass plate to make the grills and fins. It'd be better though like you said to generate large images of the same and then shrink them to scale. Thanks for the links there is a lot there.

Bill--I would definitely be interested in a Red Dot AC unit for a couple of Humvees I plan on building. I've been trying to look for measurements and plans for the last years with no luck. If you make some to sell, count me in!

Bill--you and Frenchy made my day! I've been looking all over for drawings like those! It took me several weeks just to determine that Red Dot made the AC unit, then I couldn't find much on their Web site, but I guess I just didn't look hard enough.

When in doubt consult Frenchy the Oracle!
Stay tuned there may be more on this effort.
