If you are interested (or have expressed an interest before) in joining our volunteer staff, we are once again on the lookout for Assistant Editors for Armorama.com. Now that Bill and Henk are managing the Reviews and Features areas respectively, they need help in those areas to add content, recruit and scout for new submissions, and to work on projects or ideas to better the site.

If you are someone who thinks they can bring some new energy and ideas to Armorama.com, check out this thread for more info about these available positions.

I'd like to add my $0.02 and encourage anyone who might be interested to apply. Armorama is a continually evolving place and we're looking for willing volunteers who are comfortable with computers (you don't have to be a rocket scientist or computer programmer!) and some available free time on a regular basis that you'd be willing to volunteer towards the site. All of the current staff work on a volunteer basis and have RL committments with work and family and the same would be true for you. Signing up to be an AE doesn't mean you have to sign your life away, on the contrary the functions of an AE can be done at any time and at your RL schedule's convenience.

We'll provide you with the necessary training and coordination to be able to use the site tools and mechanics to help with the content publishing side of things and you'll be part of a larger team working to keep this site one of the best places on the 'net for armor modeling information and community. We are looking for AE's to help primarily in our On Display/Features areas, with our Dragon Model of the Month contest, and with our Reviews. AE's work under the direction of a Managing Editor and with our Contributors to keep the Content side of the site up to date and running smoothly.

Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest, the responses we got were very encouraging. Many applied and we are very appreciative of the willingness for so many of our users to step-up and volunteer to keep this site running on a regular basis. All of the Vacancies have been filled at this time and for the first time in many months, we'll have a full compliment of staff for Armorama.

It's my pleasure to announce that James Bella (c5flies) and Shaun Keenan (keenan) have signed on as Associate Editors in the Reviews area and will be taking an active role in the coming days in this department working with me and the site Contributors.

It's also my pleasure to announce that Malcolm Ireson (malcolm) and Darren Baker (CMOT) have signed on as Associate Editors in the Features area and will be taking an active role in the coming days there as well working with Henk for the Features, On Displays, and DMoM areas.
