Hello, everybody !

I have a question ?

In the book "British Tanks of WW2" from David Fletcher ( Concord publications ) theres a picture of a Sherman named Fox.
This is a Sherman M4A4 from the Royal Marine Armoured Support Group.
Is there anyone out there who knows this picture ?
This picture only shows the front of this tank, and i would like to ask if there are more pictures of this tank from different sides ?

If so, please let me know were to find them !

Frank.

Hi Frank,

One of the members (Malcolm Erison) recently completed a build of fox, if you do a search you should find it. There were a numbe rof threads so they would be worth looking up.

Hello,
There is another photo in the IWM collection. The number of the picture is B 5456. You can find it on the Imperial War Museum site.
I started the same tank in 1:72. FOX is quite interesting, I know only one other RMASG Sherman (named HUSSAR), but this is without aiming scale on the turret.
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Malcolm and alan for your reply !

Malcolm. It's because of your build that i am asking questions of this tank.
I did love it so much that i desided to build it my self.
Only i am building this one with Tasca models. ( Firefly hull and M4A1 turret )
BTW, Great tip about Steve Zaloga's book !

Thanks

Frank.

P.S. Are there other pictures of this tank in that book ?

I was unaware of a Steve Zaloga title on British Shermans or Tanks. You don't perhaps mean Dennis Olivers Concord title "British Sherman" or David Fletchers British Tanks in WW2 Vol 1 or II do you?
Cheers

FYI, Bison Decals includes 'FOX' markings on their British Shermans sheet:

Most importantly the turret degree markings

Hi Frank,

As AL says FOX is featured in British Sherman Tanks by Dennis Oliver, ISBN 962-361-131-5. There is a coloured plate on page 37 that will help with a side view and the marking and a copy of the IWM pic on page 26.

Enjoy the build, the 2 Tasca kits should make an excellent Mk V,
