Hello at all,

iŽm building some Figures for a nam Dio. I want to do the leightweight frame for the rucksacks. I have the kit from Plus Models with all the Vietnam packs. But the frames are inncorect and have different meassurements. So i want to do it by myself. How what you do this? What kind of Material would you use for it? i have found a good site from james OŽLeary Figures where he made such a thing. How could i connect he metal parts for the frame? What kind of glue would you use for it?

Here are the reference Photos, by Copyright Problems please tell me. I only want to show you what i mean

Many thanks for answers

I'd use some Brass rod or Copper wire it's "soft" enough to be bent but rigid enough to hold it's shape. Both could be Soldered or glued with CA / Epoxy

Brass rod would be best, and you can find it at virtually any hobby shop. You could glue it too, but honestly for something that complex that will hold a pack piece as well, it would be much stronger to solder it.

If you want to go a cheaper route, you could probably piece something like it together with pieces of sprue.

I used florist wire to make the frame and CA glue (super glue) to stick it together. Soldering would be stronger, but since mine was attached to the figure, strength was not an issue. For the straps, you can use aluminum foil, making tape or paper stiffened with super glue.
