Hi,
In Shep Paine's book "How to build diorama's" on page 73 he states he uses Acrylic Modeling Paste to texture stucco walls. Anyone have any idea what this is? Anyone have a brand name to narrow down my search? I asked at Michael's but she just looked at me with a dumbfounded look on her face...
Thanks,
john

It's just what it says...an acrylic based paste. You can usually find it a art stores. I have some by Liquitex but I am sure there are multiple manufacturers. Michael's probably doesn't stock it because it is not a run of the mill product a craft person might use....more oriented toward painters who like to 'build' on canvas.

It's great stuff - you can get it in gloss or matt finishes. A great use for it is to mix it with pigments to get really convincing mud...

I know for a fact that you can get it at AC Moore, I saw it there yesterday. It's normally near the oil and acrylic tube paints in the "art" section. I've only seen Liquetex by brand, but they have several varieties. Hope this helps.
