hi guys,
here the miniart kit i'm working on. I'm doing this one straight from the box with very very minor addings of some pe from the spare box.
overall, i think it is a great kit. The turret got great texture (albeit i added some more with putty) and the parts fit nicely. Straight from the box, so i only use the details out of the box... you can say that it's not that detailled but i'm focussing on the paintjob...
the kit without paint:
as you can see there is one fender missing... battle damage...
some preshading, but my airbrush didnt work that well... anyway i tried to do some shading
then the actual paint, i used humbrol and tamiya paint. The barrel i painted in hull red primer (tamiya)
i had some probs with my AB so didnt had a lot of depth after the first paint-layers...
i decided to bring a little more life in it by posthading it a bit
it looks a bit with, but i always try to use lighter basecolours... so after the washes it isnt too dark
decals and first wash, the red star wasnt included in the kit. I had some russian decals in the sparebox (tamiya)...
some more dusty washes
now i'm doing the chipping as we speak. Hope to post some further progress soon.

If it were me, I probably would have quit after the the pre-shading attempt. You did a great job of recovering and making a very nice paint job. I especially like the exhaust.
