Hello and Happy new 2008 ,

i want to by these Figures and it would be great to get a review of it before bying. Are the ammunition packs are seperate or modeld on the Figures? They have great poses and the Detail looks very good. I know the Figures from Hobby Fan are very good and I have nearly all the Vietnam Figures from them.
Here is a picture from these set

Here is another picture from Vietnam SAS patrol. On these Figures Iīm still working. In the next days i will post some in progress pictures. The most work willl be the L1A1 with XM-148 grenade luncher unter the barrel. ītīs a great weapon. So more the next time

Thanks for your answers

Greetings

Stefan from Berlin

Stefan, I do not have the Hobby Fan set but I've been told it is the best ACU set on the market with crisp details and great poses.

As for your Vietnam SAS; are those Australian SAS? What kind of figure are you sculpting; 1/35? Is it going to be available on the market?

Hi Mario,

thanks for your Answer. I think i will buy them. The best price i have seen is 19,95€ with a waiting time of 14 to 21 days or for 23,95€ wehre i can get them in the next few days.

Yes, they are Australien SAS. There is a great book out there (Vietnam ANZACīS...) with colour plates which are great. I will post them when i back home from work. They are not aviable on the market because i dont sculpture them. I donīt have enough talent for this. I take the good Hobby fan Figures and make some molds for parts i could use more then one time. To buy them ever and ever ist too expensive only for some parts. I do it only for myself and donīt sell them or make money with them. I converte the Figures and use parts from Dragon or anything else i could need. Now iīm still working on the rucksack frames for the figures. I will post some in progress shots, so everybody could do the same and see how to get this Figures. I will use heads from Hornet (Berets) or the good ones from the old Dragon marine Recon set which are great in Detail. There is one Afro American head with headband. I have a lot of old sets wich are out of Production, like the Pibber crew from ADV or the very rare Dragon Vietnam weapons set with the M-14 and L1A1 wepaons. I make copys from parts of these old sets like the heads and use them for my conversion. You can see some of my projekt planning in my Photo section.

Greetings

Stefan, take a look at Lucky Models website for Hobby Fan figures. They have the best prices I have seen and free shipping option so you can get the figures for only $18 (which is about 12.5EUR). I just checked; they have the figures in stock:

look here

I like what I'm seeing in your gallery; nice work on the rusksack frame. can't wait to see more of your kitbashes.

Hi Mario,

thanks for the great link. The prices are fantastic. for all the stuff from Hobby Fan. If iīm right there are no delivery cost with airmail? I live in Germany so itīs important for how much are the costs. The prices are also in Euro so it must be no problem. I canīt do it with international bank transfer or paypal because then you have to pay 10€ or more only for changing Euro in Pound or Dollar. I see that you live in Croatia so do you have order something from them? What are your experience with this shop and the paying method.

Itīs a great shop and thank you very much. I will post the photos from the book at the evening when i was at home.

Greetings

I have ordered from Lucky Models and my experience with them is great. They have the best prices for most East Asian manufacturers... Yes, the airmail shipping is free for Hobby Fan, so the full price for the set you are looking for would be $18... good deal, right?

As for payment, I've been using my credit card without problems and extra fees.
