Hy all!
I was wondering how well detailed/accurate the Kirin T-72M1 turret (no 35208 I think?) compared to todays standards is.
Does it have any major faults or is it worth buying?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bestr egards,
Andy T.

Andy, I think this was mastered by Tony, the owner of AEF designs, who also makes an accurate turret - He used to make stuff for Kirin back in the day like the Centurion APC conversion. I don't have the Kirin Turret; its rare.....
Are you thinking of rounding one up? We still should get some comparisons of T72 turrets on the site. I know we have talked of before.

Hi Chris!
Yeah, I was able to pic one up for no money on E-bay.
I will contact one of the master-builders for AEF (a good friend of mine), maybe he will give me some answers. All I´m looking for is a CORRECT M1 turret.
Thanks a lot Chris, you pointed me into the right direction.
Best regards,
Andy T.

There's one, apparently a good one, made by JS-models.
Reviewed at missing-links:
http://www.missing-lynx.com/reviews/modern/js12.htmI'd start asking from Martti Kuivalainen's webstore or Combat Models, as availability may be quite limited from foreign stores.

There's also an excellent turret from Blast Models :
More photos here :
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/bm.img/page%20catalogue/bl35046k.html The JS models one is very good, but only the basic turret, the Blast Models has more external detail included such as MG, smoke discharchers, gun, etc... It is however more expensive.
Cheers,

Hi, Andreas. Just make sure you don't place yourself in a corner and build "European" 72 with Iraqi turret.

In my gallery I have two photos of the Blast T-72 turret and as comparison a shot of the Panzershop T-72M4CZ turret (junk) and a mystery manufacturer's T-72 (white one; I inquired here about it and someone provided an answer though I've subsequently forgotten what that answer was!).

Mike,
Yes the white one is a JS Models turret or the rare T72 from Anubis I forget which. NIce pix.
It would be swell to have an up to date T72 in plastic, right? I am daydreaming of a 3-1 T72.

Hello,
I've just got a Kirin T72 M1 kit but unfortunately without any instruction manual. Could anyone send me a copy?
Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, the Kirin turret is junk. Had one, threw it away. I'd go with the Blast turret.

Yes it's the Anubus turret for a T72A. Here's a pic of it with some paint on it and some details added.

OK, Anubus...I'll have to remember that. Now was it supposed to come with the smoke dischargers? I picked mine up off of eBay for dirt cheap but it came with nothing at all...

Hi guys, what about the early Ural T-72 turret from ModelPoint? I heard it is very nice. Dmitry

Yep, MP's Ural turret is quite good, but you just can't build T-72M1 with it. MP's piece depicts first model of 72nd with stereoscopic optics.

I have this one - its being built now. It is VERY nice. It comes with the MP barrel w/o thermal sleeve; you do have to use the Tamiya bits for the detail pcs and bins.
I know I mentioned doing a T72 turret comparison - I m lazy

As I told you the last time we went thru this, no. The smoke launchers are from Modelpoint.
So I take it the Anubus turret doesn't come with the smoke launchers?
