Hi all
As we all probably know, the latest Tasca M4A1 is a great piece of a kit but the decal options provided are not the most apropriate for this type of tank (three of them actually and one is uncertain as Steve Zaloga wrote in his M4A1 Build feauture over on ML).
I would like to kindly ask those who know, to post here where one can find some references on a riveted hull M4A1 (eg. book title, no. of page )
This way any modeller would have a database that could help to build Tascas Sherman with accurate markings and without any major scratchbuilding.
That said maybe Jim Rae could put those refs. up in his review of M4A1 so it would not get lost in the forums over time.
What do you think?
Greg

Gday Greg
I have had a look through what references I have; mostly welded, and the ones that can't be identified as welded hulls certainly can't be identified as rivetted either...
So while it is a good idea in itself, it may be easier overall to 'bring the mountain to Moses' so to speak...
What I mean is could someone explain their method for changing the lower hull into a welded version, therefore making their options for markings so much greater...?
just a thought
Cheers
Brad
