Title says it all. I love the Stryker but only want a model of a vehicle in the latest configuration. That being said, I don't have the money or the time (or the courage) to deal with a 500 part PE slat armor set (and the other 5-6 sets to get all the current parts).
Does anyone think there is any chance that Dragon or AFV would release a Stryker with all the add-ons included? Dragoon seems to be really pumping their high tech molding process, could slat armor be done in plastic or is PE the only game in town?
Regards,
John

I would echo that as there is no way it would look to scale, also i believe even the PE is on the large size from what I've read, however i have not checked of late.

The thought I had is DML could quite possibly do a combo thing for the slat armor...mold the mounts and tubes in plastic and have the slats in PE. I even had visions of pre-assembled Slat armor with the PE molded into plastic for their upcoming Stryker kits. That's the only way I'll buy one off them, esp with the AFV Club Strykers already being out and them pumping out different variants

Here's my question to this. Would anyone be interested in a "Big Ed" like set with all the sets together. I am thinking of putting together some sets with the Slat; Additional armor; Blast armor; possibly the Stryker ICV set. I think Eduard should at least put the Slat and Additional Armor sets together since you have to have the Additional Armor set to put the Slat on.
Thats a lot of photo etch and it would cost a lot. I would put it together like a package deal with a discounted price. Just curious if this sounds like a good idea or a lot of work. Thanks.
I just got the Slat for myself. I look forward to getting it started. I have three other kits on the bench ahead of it though, got to get those finished first.

I asked Miloslav that same question regarding Big Ed Styker sets. Perhap you could ask that same question over in the Stryker Blog, I know folks are reading that and the more people ask the better the chances.
Please post your progress when you get to the slat.

Why don't you contact Eduard and ask them?

I was thinking along similar lines, but with resin intead of plastic, maybe one of the aftermarket guys will do it?
Cheers,

I think the closest we'll see something like that is the Pro-Art Models kit..
