Finally finished something! Maybe the builder's block will fade away now. Anyway here are a couple photos:

Thinking of calling it "Chernobyl Aftermath" as the inspiration was photos of the many types of Soviet vehicles abandoned due to radiation. Comments welcome.

Small dio? yeah but for a well born dio, size doesn't matter at all.
Once more you summed a full scale ambiance in few places, i really love the green groundwork/red truck with the brown of the leaves, that's a very equilibrated composition. As always a sense of the killer detail like the way the leaves regroup at the right places + that hole on the floor of the truck, ace job indeed!

Thanks everybody for the kind comments.
This was an interesting subject away from armor and it seemed to have sparked some sort of creativity in my thinking of dioramas and subject matter.

Scott: I'll see what I can do about ModelGeek

Love it Charles. Great composition mate.
My biggest concern is the name you wish to use. I think it is a little too convaluted?
Something like "The fallout" or similar, just hinting at Chernobyl without mentioning it?
Good stuff

Very nice, and an original topic. Your right, it is nice to get away from all the tanks every now and then ....even though it is an armor forum.
One thing though. Seeing as how the sign is tipped over, I'm guessing this is set a while after the actual disaster, and thus this truck would have most likely been there for a while too.
Having said that, I think it looks a bit too new. Perhaps some paint chipping and rust would do well.
Maybe I'm just nit picking here, but something to consider if you decide to do a dio like this again.

Thanks again for the comments everyone. (Glen, Bradley, Steve R., Robert, Barry, Steve H. and Boris)

Bradley,
I'm working on a new name for this dio. I agree with you the "working title" as originally posted was tentative.

Boris,
You are correct, the scene takes place well after the disaster (thus the sapling growing through the truck bed) The photos don't show a lot of the rusted areas well, such as the wheels. I thought about chipping on the paint but in the end felt that a truck simply sitting in a field for several years would fade rather than be chipped especially without the influence of humans pounding on it and vandalizing etc.

Again, thanks to all who replied to this post for taking the time.
Cheers,
Charles
