hi fellas!
it's an odd group isn't it? well, i received these as presents except for the M4 tractor that i bought for myself recently... i have another tamiya sherman that's been sitting on the stash for years now.... im not really into WWII armor so i really dont know what to do with them...
my question is, was there ever an event or a theater in europe maybe that these boys got to know each other? i was thinking maybe i could do a dio with all of them in it... but i wasnt sure if they all "met" or existed at the same time and place...
these are the existing elements of a possible dio...
1. Tamiya dragon wagon
2. AFV Club 155mm Long Tom
3. Hobby Boss M4 HST (155mm/ 8-in)
4. Tamiya M4A3 Sherman
if ever a dio should come out of this, the figures could just be sourced out afterwards...
any ideas?
thanks in advance!

From a function standpoint I don't think the DW and LongTom would ever meet. Front line recovery vs. back end long range arty.
From a use standpoint I don't the the HST was in service when or where the DW were.
Now here's an idea - you could do a post WWII/Korean war diorama of a recovery/rehab site where all sorts of vehicles would mix and mingle. I could see a big barn/workshop as a back drop, a utility crane, a line of vehicles in decent but not 100% good shape, a few workers tending to repairs.

Picture this:
You have a Dragon Wagon hauling a Sherman back from the front and it meets the M4 and Long Tom coming the opposite direction towards the action on a narrow road...the crews get out and start yelling at each other.
Just a thought.

Now these are both neat (and massive) potential dioramas. I like the idea of seeing the two crews yelling at each other.

Sounds like a very big job indeed. If you go along with the crews shouting at each other scenario take a look at these linkname http://www.greenwichgateway.com/hornetandwolf/Hornet/headsets/index.htm

I'm with this idea too.....makes much sense. Artillery guys heading "forward" while maintenance is bring "broke" stuff back for repair. I like. Oh, the Artillery guys will "win" the argument.....1) Combat ready going to the "front" while non-operative heading to the "rear"....yup....2) uh...easy....I'm Artillery!! Nuff said!
