Is it, pray tell, me...or others suffering the same with the "subscribing" to a forum post?? I have "subscriptions" into several "Campaigns" and a variety of posts within Armorama and ModelGeek. However, I've not received, in two to three weeks (?), an indication from the site that there have been posts....but, alas, there have been.
Any ideas Herren Staffies??
Mike

Actually, Mike, this was the first thread I subscribed to, and I rec'd notification of your response! Hopefully others who use the subscription option will post one way or the other, I'm taking it for granted nothing has changed on your e-mail settings.(?)

Well.....when I check my profile, what's listed as my "Valid" email is the "old" one....before Comcast sucked up Adelphia. However, my "Published" email is correct. I do on occasion get email that is sent the Adelphia.net addy. I guess this could be a problem? It is possible that recently Adelphia email is no longer being forwarded? I am unable to change the "Valid" email in my profile....that's one of the fields that is not accessible from a user's standpoint.

It's a link on your account control panel.
And Mike it would be going to your original signup email. The public email is just used to display to other users.
Cheers,
Jim

I'm having the same problem, I've subscribed to a plethora of topic's, but never get an e-mail when new topics were posted.
I tried subscribing again and again, but no go. Same goes for when I start a topic and click the subscription button.
Any solution?
Thanks!

Dave,
If you are certain your email is correct in your account area, then the only other likely explanation is that your mail service is putting the email in a spam/junk area or blocking it all together. Sadly a lot of mail providers are taking the 'easy way out' approach to trying to reduce spam. So if they get an email that was generated from a server (and not a mail client) they just toss em.
If this is the case may I suggest getting a gmail account. They don't seem to be doing any pure blackholing of emails and they only seem to tag things as spam when they really are.
Good luck,
Jim

Jim,
Thanks for the reply. I don't think my mail service is the problem. I don't have any problems on any other fora, and like I said I got a reminder e-mail once.
Is it possible that I'm not subscribed to the threads? That for one or the other I click subscribe, but the server/forum doesn't see it? Is there a way to see to which threads I'm subscribed?
Hope to find a solution.
Thanks,
Dave

It would be a nice feature to see the topics you are currently subscribed to. I will see what I can do about that.

That would be a nice feature. Hope you can make that happen in time. My "subscriptions" have been working proper since I, uh, changed to the correct email.

Funny, I just got reminder e-mails from the last two posts in this topic. So I can only think that I'm not correctly subscribed to some topics.
Would indeed be great if you could see to which topics you've subscribed.
