MSRP is around 150 But judging by the wheel shots you would wait for resin AM to get them done right. I bet Eduard will come out with all-out collection of PE sets as well. Trumpy likes doing good kits of soviet cars, first ZIL-157 now MAZ, but they are very persistent in not including fuel and hydrolics systems in these kits.

That's USD 150.00, which at the current exchange rate is...about £7.

Seriously, the price will probably keep me from getting one of these right away - I'm still saving up for Trumpy's Mi-8/17 kit - but I'd eventually like to add one to the collection. Most everything looks good, with the exception of the aforementioned wheel issue. I really don't have much use for the trailer (too much display space required) but the tractor alone would probably look pretty cool on my shelf.

Anyway, it looks like a very nice kit, so kudos to Trumpeter for bringing it to the market.

Most Trumpeter kits iwhen bought from Honk Kong stores like luckymodel are cheaper than they are in the US and Europe even after you add shipping.

Does it have an engine?

Never mind, just went back and READ the review LOL. Having a complete engine would definitely spruce things up.

cheers

That's exactly what I thought when I saw their FAMO and trailer in 1/72 as separate kits in LHS. Maybe they ought to make Budget Edition of the mover alone or a logistics truck.

Yep, used to be just a matter of getting kit for "local" price and paying international shipping instead of shipping included in price plus some extraneous cost and finally US shipping, but not anymore. With increasing Euro per USD value there will be substantial increases in prices even in Asian stores. Miniarm stuff already goes for 65USD for a turret set.

While it would be great for Trumpeter to release the MAZ without the trailer in the future (the Keseyan Budget Edition), I won't hold my breath. Let's face it, I could probably sell off the trailer pieces to someone here who wanted spares, if it came down to that.

In the meantime, I'm going to shake down the sofa cushions for some spare change to add to the jar.

That's cool, Hisham!

But there goes the idea of me selling the trailer. Now I want to keep it! I bet I could scratchbuild those wing spars with some balsa wood and cover them with tissue and...

It is currently available at HobbyLinkJapan (hlj.com) and retails for $120 USD. I am waiting to see how much it will be at my LHS whenever they should happen to get one. I kicked myself for getting some of the larger Trumpeter kits in the past, such as the BR-52 and the Karl Morser, then seeing them at 40%-50% off a year later.
