This is by far the best Cyber Hobby T-34/76 to date! Cyber Hobby has newly tooled the turret by state of the art 3-directional slide molds to produce crisps details. Upper-hull Front armor and splash guards are all new with fine weld detail for Gasoline Engine Mod. Real chassis plates, rear engine cover and rear plates are also newly tooled for the No.112 factory variant. It also comes with metal barrel and an enormous amount of Photo Etch parts. There're just too many features to list here so please feel free to visit our website and see it for yourself.

Nice one.

So any plans on Making a Russian 203 MM Artillery piece or a SDkfz- 7 by chance?

Thanks

Not to be too churlish, but I am assuming that DML will not make the same mistake they made on the STZ '42 version? I admit to being a bit gunshy about buying any of the one-run kits sight-unseen after that incident.

That aside, the 112 version looks like a good kit.

I have to agree with Jacques. As happy as I am to see this version of the T-34 hit the market (even if it is in limited numbers), I'm not crazy about plopping down my hard earned sheckles for a limited-run, sight-unseen, CH kit after the "STZ incident".

Sad, on a few levels, but true.

BTW, Jacques gets the Vocabulary Award of The Week for actually using "churlish" in a sentence.

Dragon has updated their site with more pictures. Can anyone say if this is this a buy or don't buy kit yet? I bought T-34/76 STZ. MOD. 1941 2 in 1 and with all the negative commemts on that one I don't want to get burned on this one too.

Pics are nice, but you can't tell how well a kit is going to build from seeing a few sprue shots and selected detail views. Taken at face value, it looks like it's going to be a very nicely done kit...but how will it go together? Will all the details that one would expect on an enthusiast kit be there? I think after the fit and accuracy problems with the STZ, a lot of people are going to be asking those questions, and they should.

Personally, I'm still wrestling with it. I like Dragon's T-34s in general, and I'm really stoked to see this version in particular, so I certainly want one. If I buy and the kit has issues, am I not going to want to build it? Will I just slog through an unhappy and unenjoyable build while I curse the very existence of CyberHobby and Dragon? On the other hand, if I don't buy one and it turns out to be a great kit, am I going to be kicking myself (and paying through the nose to get one on eBay)?

Decisions, decisions.

Well, because I'm either excessively optimistic or overly stupid (I chose to believe the former ) I went ahead and ordered the kit (just one but if it turns out better than the STZ m42 I'll try for a second kit). I suspect that this will be a good one if only because it appears that DML were stung by the (justifiedly) poor reception given the m42.

With that said, it looks like this will only be good for the earlier version. To do a nice later model you'll need different tracks, slightly different road wheels, and the armored cover for the PT-4-7 and it doesn't look like those items are in the kit. Yes, yes. I know I don't have the thing in hand yet and we may get lucky but, generally, when you see their CAD posters you're seeing what you're going to get.
If I get the kit early I'll post a quick review if anyone's interested.

Hi Mark and everyone,

yep, you are right...this is the early version!

and the upper hull is NOT like the m42 STZ...

the later version should have the different tracks included which we spoke about...

I haven't received my test shot of this as of yet...but will keep you posted.

speak soon.

I see there is a good deal of talk about this kit. I only hope if there are problems with it that the makers listen!
