Yet another kit bound for the wargaming table. This time a Tiger I H from the Stabskompanie of Schwere Panzerabteilung 505.
1/48th kit originally from Skybow although now owned and produced by AFV Club. Built OOB except for a PE mg belt and with hatches open to put crew in at some stage. A very easy kit to build with a few minor issues such as no hinges or periscopes for the front hatches and the tracks being a little tricky to join. Still got to add a piece of joining wire for the front light too ..........
cheers
Brent

Hi Matt,
We use my own house rules but sets like Arc of Fire are aimed at 28mm / 1/48th skirmish wargaming. Gaming in this size is pretty common although like most people we currently use 28mm infantry as theres not a lot of choice in 1/48th yet. We had great hopes for the Tamiya plastics but they're just tooooo small.
Here a links to a group (no association but great looking games) that use 48th vehicles in case you'd like to have a snoop ......

Its another winner from you Brent.
Can you tell us a little bit more about your setup for photographing the models?
camera? lens? aperture? shutterspeed? lights?
thanks, looking forward to more models from you!

Hi Mate,
My lighting set up is actually very simple and consists of ;
Overall set up, One overhead Fluro lamp, camera, tripod, backround. I plan on getting two more fluro lights this year for added fill lighting on each side.
I use a Sony F-828 8mpx digital SLR which adds to the pic quality as its a great camera. I use auto settings with the only changes being to use the macro setting and manually setting the F-Stop (apeture) to its max, f8 on my camera.
cheers

Hi Matt,
I'll PM you with some more info. Basically my rules were designed for 20mm and are pretty detailed as thats my primary wargaming period.
I'd probably reccommend Arc-of-Fire as a starter to be honest then decide how much more (if any) detail you want.
I've attached a link to the AoF website plus SkirmishCampaigns which is a great series of generic WW2 gaming campaigns - and thoroughly reccomended (and no association!)
cheers
