Hi guys,

I'm in the process of converting an old M-107 model into a M-578 by using a Verlinden conversion set.
I also want to display an engine in the front and I have a question.
Does the engine cover opens to the back or the front of the vehicle ?
I did a search on PrimePortal, but i cannot find any pivotpoints on the enginecover.
Perhaps someone has the answer ?

I believe the engine and transmission covers simply lift off, no hinges.

I have this set waiting for the near future, so please post some progress pics!

cheers

Hi Rick,

I think you're right, I just found some pictures of a M578 from the Dutch Army.
The engine cover is fixed with some kind of clamps and screws !

Thank for your reply !!

Sorry, no hinges for that thing. The engine/transmission cover was simply bolted on, so if showing the engine compartment, the cover could be laid anywhere there was a flat spot!
