I have posted some pictures I took at a recent visit to Fort Bliss.

It is worth the visit if you are in the Texas/New Mexico area. The subjects inside are well lite, and there are placards explaining what you're looking at.
This link also has pictures from the Heartland Museum in Lexington, Nebraska. This is a private collection, with nearly all the vehicles in running order. Again, worth the stop if you are heading east or west on Interstate 80.
Enjoy,

That is a pretty good museum. And if you're out that way, you might as well head out to New Mexico about an hour away to White Sands Missile Range. They have an excellent museum there as well. I think they actually had a V-2 cutaway in one of the buidlings, which was always closed on the few occasions I was able to make it in from the desert...

Its a very nice museum and a real improvement on the old one (which was in a WW2 era theater that was a fire trap.) Too bad that they spent a lot of money on this one, and its going to be moved to Ft Sill when the AD Center moves there as a result of BRAC.

I am glad people are able to use these. They are NOT the definitive photo reference, but every little picture helps.
I look forward to returning to the Heartland Museum, when he finishes with the added floor space. The foundation is there, but the walls have to go up, and it will effectively double the space, allowing for better walk around. From what I have seen there, the curator lets you open doors and hatches, with assistance if needed, and I would pack a step ladder when going there as well.
Jowady, what is all that military jargon about moving the museum at Ft. Bliss?

Jowady, what is all that military jargon about moving the museum at Ft. Bliss?
BRAC (Base Realignement and Closure) has determined that the Air Defense Center will move from Bliss to Ft Sill in Oklahoma. Bliss will receive the 1st Armored Division in exchange. When they move, there goes the Museum.
