The title of the diorama is "La bandiera della piccola strada" (="The flag of the little road" - the Italian translation is senseless, perhaps they were meaning the towels drying on metal cables).
I've already seen this diorama somewhere, and the modeller's name is Kaneko Tatsuya... has anyone got any more info?
Enjoy!

Wow.
I have a ton of questions 'cause the video was in Japanese but there is still a boat load of useful info there.
Thanks a ton for the links,
Shaun
/Flamingo diorama rocked.
// Liked the giant spider, too.

That was very fun to watch. I love all of the dramatic music and the "modeler vs. the kit" at the beginning.
The clothes line was an amazing idea.

I saw this some time ago, and must say the only thing it lacked was the "Benny Hill" music. It was perfect with the Japanese text and resembled a Monty Python-esque sketch, IMO. A real parody of modelling. When he stood on the balcony proudly showing off the Tamiya Kettenkrad I was almost literally "rolling on the floor laughing (Rotfl)". How so many Tamiya endorsements could be shown in such a small space was unbelievable.
But on a serious side .... yes there were some excellent tips on show and worth watching.
He´s a skillful modeller ... no doubt .... but it begs the question .... models like this that are really eye-catching and with strategic photographs look excellent in magazines .... how would it stand up in competition or close viewing?
The building and hanging clothes looked great, but up close there were lots of gaps and lots of room for improvements.

Glad you liked it!
If you want, there is a whole site collecting the youtube links for this Japanese program (BTW it's name is "Custom").
@Franck: I finally understand what ROTFL means!

if you look some more of these vid´s some more words like "keubelwagn" and "fenda" or so are to understand ...
the "actors" are funny - off course - and the "dramatic" touch is ridiculous but anyway some interesting hints in there ...
