hello,
i'm a bit new at this, and new here.
i've only really done 25-30mm wargaming models before, and have always used acrylics thinned wiht only water.
after picking up a few decent modelling magazines, i noticed that there were a few mentions of thinning acrylics wiht a water and alcohol mixture.
what difference does it make?
simply faster drying time?
what are the benefits/drawbacks?
thanks for your time,
-shawn j. bagley

Lokust, it depends on what use you do of the acrylics. As far as I can understand from the other fella out here, most of them can be thinned with water for brush/airbrush application. My experience is limited to Tamiya's colors. I thin them with water for washes or brush application on small areas and I use rubbing alchool (the one you can buy at supermarkets) for thinning them when I use them with an airbrush.
