I picked this kit up a whil ago thinking the I would be able to use it in a diorama. But I can't think of scene to put it in maybe some of you expert thinkers could think of something.

How about the schwimmer taking a jurry rigged ferry across a river. A bit of irony in it, you can do some groundwork, vehicle, figure, and water work.

schwimmwagen stopped at a sign that has been run over by a tank. No tank in sight, just the tracks ;eft and a very badly damaged sign. crew is picking through the damaged sign for any clue to the direction they should go. one crewman pointing one way another one or two picking through the sign splinters.

Someday IŽll get around to building a schwimmy, and would definately like to see it in its planned roll ... either actually in the water or going in/out of the water.
For anybody interested in ground work, this has to be the ultimate ... land, water and everything imaginable in details and effects between.

MATT -
I enjoy using the Concord Publications (readily available from sources like Squadron Shop)as they are almost entirely photos which provide great diorama ideas. These sources also can provide the materials you'd need like Woodland Scenics for your diorama (even the 'water'). Maybe an ambitious project like a damaged bridge and the 'Schwimm' fording the stream/river? Again books, the galleries (on sites like 'Missing-Links'), and here at Armorama hve great stuff to build ideas on. Hope this helps some,

Hi Buddy,if you can get hold of the Tamiya frontline recon set of figures this is actually based on a picture taken during the Battle of the Bulge of Peiper and his officers looking over a map.Just add a bit of winter groundwork - jobs`a`good `un !!

Die Letzte Sonne August '44 for this diorama

i dont know. personally with what i envisioned a building might be a little much. it us ur choice of course but i think that it might put the other stuff out of place. like a mud pit in a town? or by a building? not likely but plausable i suppose.

Well, in my mind a Schwimmwagen either needs mud or water.
