Hi guys and gals,

Here are some of my Tamiya 1/16 figures collections. The Big "T" has done a great job on the facial features. However, I am not a good skill figure painter like Craig who can show off the best part of the painted figures but I hope that you will like them.

Actually, I am not satistified with my painting skills and I will try my best to improve it in the future.

By the way, I would like to thank Craig that he has given me a lot of useful hints about paiinting figures.

They look great!

Only thing I would say is the eyes on the Officer are a little "buggy".

They look like dots painted on giving them a "Little Orphan Annie" look.

But uniforms and skin look good!

Cheers, Michael

Holy crap! Good job! I hope I am also able to do such work. Although I advise you to revise the eyes & get some rivets in the helmets. I myself have also 2 tamiya figures but even if I want you guys to critic my work so I could improve, I can't show it since I don't have a digital camera or a scanner

Hi Steve,
Wow..I'm impressed. You've done an excellent job on those figures. I will agree that you may want to reduce the amount of "whites" in the eyes on your next figure but otherwise...
good work. In particular, I really like the work you did on the camo for both of those figures. And the magazine pouches look terriffic on them also.
So, are you working in oils or acrylics?
Thanks for the nice comments you made. If you feel that I've helped you to improve your painting in any way, I'm very happy that I could help. Keep up the good work!

The scale may be bigger, but it does not make these 120mm figures any easier to paint, in fact they are harder to get right. I have discovered this recently when i built and painted tamiyas machinegunner with great coat. I have that almost finished now and will post pictures this week. I have also built the elite soldier ....... the same as yours, but will only start painting tomorrow. Im a bit nervous with the camo. Your camo is really well done.
Overall, 3 very nice figures..... great work!

Plasticbattle,

I totally agree with you that the bigger scale of figure the more difficult to paint them alive. I am trying to improve my skills each time I started to paint them.
By the way, I got the Machine Gunner with great coat too but yet to start it. Can't wait to see your post.

Awesome Lord Sushi. You are so much much much better than me in figure painting. I wish I am that good.

And is that the unfinished T35 in the back, now get off your lazy butt, and finish it!!!!! #:-)

Andy,

I thought that you might miss the topic. All the figures are from Tamiya. I think I have most of them and there are two still waiting to be built.
