Does any one know of any update kits that are available for the Dragon M4A3E8? Not necessarily specific to it, i.e. headlight guards, and importantly the large thin clamp on the back of the turret. Not sure what it is, maybe for securing the .50cal in transit.
Not that there is anything wrong with the kit one, except mine has been snapped off at an awkward angle and is since lost.
I have one in a Pershing kit but then that beast would need one eventually
Any help appreciated

Pretty much all the usual suspects offer a photoetched Sherman update set, starting with On the Mark (still one of the best, despite dating from 1990), followed by numerous sets from Eduard and others. Eduard's set 35377 is specifically for the Easy 8 kit. I'd avoid Verlinden or Trakz photoetch, as it's rather crudely done copper rather than brass or nickel steel.
The part you're asking about is for stowage of the .50" Browning. The barrel was removed and the two components were clamped behind the turret bustle.

the clamps you are refering to on the turret, are for the spare barrel for the .50 cal, if the barrel got hot, they would have to change it to allow it to cool down, either a spare barrel, or the barrel was stowed in these clips.
As for this bit, i will look in my spares box, if I have one you can have it.
