Yep - I think it's safe to say we can take that one to the bank

Mark that one as a 'Confirmed'

This, however is the best:

Airfix 50018 Shaun the Sheep with Landrover

Well, we want LRs in injection don't we?

Well I personally am more excited about this bit of news

ICM 35522 le.gl. Einheits-Pkw Kfz. 2 35 Überhang 2007 Neue Form

Not the faintest clue what "Überhang 2007" means but finally a new kubelwagen that is not a VW kubel is great news. Again my promis not to buy that much kits in 2008 gets kicked in the stomach with this kind of news.

Hi Robert

"Überhang" (~"left over") means that it was already announced last year and is not really 2008 news

cheers

Ola Steffen

You mean it is already available in the stores then? I have not seen it yet in any store here in Holland and I had not yet heard of it being released neither

No, I think it means it was 'Held Over' from their 2007 program so scheduled for 2008 release. It certainly isn't available yet...

Ola Guys

Thanks a lot... Although anounced in 2007 this is for me one of the best pieces of news I have heard so far and I'm pretty happy if I see this one around in 2008.

@ Dan
I saw the Boxart too when I did a little search because I was doubting myself if I missed the release of it. It looks like a Stoewer. Which minus the radio installation is a really good and much used kubelwagen during WW2. Check this site. it has a few pics of the Kfz2

Hi Robert

Yes I'd love to see that move from a boxart to an actual kit along with these two promised from Masterbox

Well yes... it is true... one day we will have a Mercedes Benz VK 170.. Master box is already showing those pictures for 2 years or so on their site. I really hope that at the Neurenburg Toyfair they will have some substantial evidence that we can expect this one this year. I would buy several of them. Same goes with the ICM Stoewer. Finally some new kubels which are not VW kubels and in the affordable injection molded plastic range.

Well, I shall leave other manufacterors to create every Tiger that was once produced, and spend my hard earned with the likes of ICM and MiniArt, who are bringing out some of the most interesting and most wanted kits.

2008 could not possibly be better than 2007, could it? Could it....

Cheers

I'm afraid to ask about Shaun the Sheep with Landrover!
Is that a British kid show or something, like Thomas the Tank Engine?
Sorry, never heard of it. But a nice Landrover would be nice, since no scale is listed, I can only hope for 1/35th. The Kfz. 2 is a really cool little softskin. Looks more manly than a VW also.

Dave

It's part of the great bunch of characters created at Aardman Animation.

Shaun was a character in the Wallace and Gromit film A Close Shave and has become a "star" in his own right.

Quirky but wonderful creations as only the British can be.

If Shaun the Sheep with Landrover! does come out, I'll have to get one, as my daugther loves Shaun. Especially the trampoline game on the website...

Thanks, I have a few W&G's on DVD, and love them. But I guess I miss Shaun, but will probably also pick one up. (I'll have to beg and whine a little to one of yous guys to get one for me, and send it to me, as W&G kits are like hens teeth over here, and you pay up the kazoo if you find them.)

Just as I was putting the final touches on my Tamiya Matilda with a gazillion $$$ of extras...
Needless to say, the ICM kit will make it look like a toy. :-(

File under: my usual luck (or lack thereof.)

Well, never mind - at least you have the grateful thanks of the rest of us

I'll be doing the report on ICM today - not just armor-related either, they have some VERY interesting aviation subjects coming out as well...

Whatever it is, I hope it won't be another Tamiya copy, like their quarter-scale P-51B/C... I still haven't forgiven them for that. Not cool...
