Ok, I know that this is a very wide or open question for everyone to answer but I would like to know, how does someone build dioramas in 1/72nd scale with as much eye catching detail as you would in 1/35th scale?
Example: How do you make buildings?
'' '' '' cobblestone streets?
'' '' '' bricks and rubble?
'' '' '' interiors of destroyed buildings and furniture?
I hope I am getting my point across on what I am trying to ask. Also, like Verlinden in 1/35th scale does anyone make diorama stuff for 1/72nd scale?

Easy. You just take everything you know from the 35th scale to 72nd.

But you may want a bit more details:
Buildings: scratchbuild it from sheet styrene, cardboard, paper, lead foil, balso wood
Cobblestone: pour plaster and score the stones with a sharp tool
Bricks: I used styrene in the right size to cut off each brick individually. There are shops that sell small bricks and also there are moulds to make bricks yourself.
Rubble: just break some of the bricks into small pieces
Interior: resin parts or scratch built from sheet styrene

You just need a steady hand and good eyesight and a feeling for details to go near the 35th scale.

If you have more specific question there will be a lot of people able to help, though I havent seen many small scale modellers on Armorama. ML or smallscaleafv.com do have a very active small scale community.

Have fun,
Chris

I know I don't post much here, but I'm working on a 1/72nd modern diorama. I guess I am going through what you are right now. Although it's a modern diorama, I still am looking for something to use for tables/chairs/beds/other random pieces of furniture and even a satellite dish. I guess the best thought that I have is use what's in Sheperd Paine's book (he explains/includes drawings for chairs/table). He has a little blurb on furniture. I'm sure the drawings could be scaled down to whatever needed size.

As for the building, I am using a type of styrofoam thats fairly strong called cellfoam.

Pics of the diorama can be seen here http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa228/arkhunter2002/Dioramas/
