Hello,

i show you the latest WIP from my Workbench. The Trumpeter StuG III C/D with some details changing. It´s not a 100% correct kit with some faults but i hope you like it.

Comments welcome.

Hi Alex!

I heard about the inaccuracies of the Trumpeter Stugs, but it still looks good.
Also, please post more pics of the 252 as you progress. I have the ACE kit, and I'd like to compare it to your Al. By one.

It looks very nice!

I never thought I catch myself saying that about a 1/72 trumpeter kit, but really. It looks great. I notice that the open hatch looks scratch built, are the hatches all moulded shut on the kit? And the PE mesh.; I don't suppose it came with the kit?

Thanks for your comments.

Most of the Trumpeter kits mouldet closed hatches. That some poor opinion. I saw it out and scratch a new one. The PE Mesh ist not from the box,I cut it out from some mesh i found around. Buy the way... to make a 100% StuG III C/D you take the tumpeter StuG III B and some Revell Pz III parts and be a kitbasher.

@ Peter: The Al.By Kit ist actually the only correct model of the 252. I also have the 253 vom ACE and it makes of course a good impression. But also a lot of work you mus invest. If you need good 252 pics, concat me via PN.

I wat now for insect needles to finish details on the 252 and then ready for paint.

sorry for my not perfect english..

Alex,

looks very good! You have taken a not so well detailed or acurate kit and have turned it around enough to make it worth the effort that you have put into it thusfar. Keep posting as you progress on your build.

It going on with one of my endless projects. After grundwork with Tamiya grey, washing and drybrushing. Next phase the paint oft the detail. The decals from the 252er i must make it new. There to much reflect the light.

I hope you like it an comments always welcome.
