Hi all

I know this might seem a really daft question/suggestion, but i was checking the net for
info about ww2 armour, and and found some interesting info regards specific actions commited by (in)famous tank commanders at various times during the war.

Has anybody done a dio based around specific actions/ people of the war, and is it a good idea to do so? ive jotted a load of info down and was considering doing one.

lemme know what you think

Is the guy you're talking about the Tiger I commander? He's the most famous one I know of.
I have seen a lot of modeling of specific vehicles as static display pieces. I have not seen any dioramas based on a 'famous' tank/person. Most dioramas I see are more about the battle than a person. Now you've opened up the idea - looks like its time to run with it!

hmmm i think i shall at that. I know its common for people to model general battle scenes or storyline based dio's but i thought it might be a bit novel to do something character or history specific - if you nose around you can find various info about specific actions and famous commanders, troops, etc - the problem i have now is which do i do lol..im getting ready to do a dio with a pz IV from around the ST Lo district....altho i might switch for one of the aforementioned commanders....good grief decisions, decisions....

i have a good website addy that is based around war art work that you might find interesting
its actually where i got the idea from. ill dig it up and stick it on snother posting. have a looksee - good for inspiration.

cheers tallyho!
