Hello Ciro, Gary is correct.. and i also explained this information that the Friul type is the late one and suitable for the T-54M and the T-55 M.style loaders hatch. . Other than that its looking good.. One thing though, the small triangular shaped brackets with the hole in on the fender tops needs moving so that it corresponds with the pin in the bracket that is used to hold the fender in the upright position.

It looks pretty darn nice even without paint.

Gary, please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the fan cover and the one next to it (I cannot remember what it is for either) were sort of optional...I have seen pictures of them completly missing, but it may just be for light maintenance.
I have ONE photo of a T-55 in what looks like Chechnya without either cover and all the photos I have of the T-55M5 show it only having the right hand side cover attached (And open).
Any thoughts?
(Also, I agree Ciro, keeping all of your comments about this build in one thread would be a better choice.)

Thanks Gary. We are talking two differnt things. I am talking about the covers, the full metal ones, not the screens. However, I see what you are getting at and I wholeheartedly concur...those screens would be in place on any running T-55 as they help to keep large debris out of the engine bay, where it would otherwise cause...mischief.
Thanks for the illustrated explanation.

The full metal guard is underneath the fan cover. The other side is the oil cooler inlet and has manouverable flaps. These flaps are Completely different on T-54 to T-55.
